About Career Love

A love letter to the future of work.

Career Love is a social impact organization advancing liberatory practices in the workplace — through education, advocacy, and innovation.

Founder

Mercedes Swan

Mercedes founded Career Love to center the experiences of Black women and marginalized professionals on the path to collective liberation. She has spent her career at the intersection of leadership, culture, and equity — and she built Career Love to make that work operational at scale.

In 2026, Mercedes launched the Workplace Liberation Project — the Career Love Mission in action. The Project has one goal: to advocate for, normalize, and operationalize liberatory practices in the workplace.

What we believe

Dignity by default

Every role, at every level, deserves the conditions for a full human life.

Practice over posture

Liberation lives in what teams do on a Tuesday — not in a values page.

Repair is possible

Workplaces can be sites of repair when leaders build for it on purpose.
